Five Fall Events in North Myrtle Beach

When summer is gone, and all the fun of the summer festivals has disappeared, what do you do next? The answer isn’t too difficult to figure out–because when fall arrives, festivals take over again. It’s the perfect season to try new things, and enjoy the cool breeze of autumn. There’s the typical hometown favorite of apple festivals and spooky Halloween carnivals.

A major draw to the North Myrtle Beach tourism is all the fun its seasonal festivals bring. The area draws in countless amounts of tourists during the summer months, but fall also has a lot to offer.

16th Annual Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala

Oct. 1, 2015 at the Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island

Calling all wine connoisseurs (and beginner wine tasters)! At this annual gala, guests can sample more thna 70 wines from vineyards around the world while dressed up in their casual cocktail attire. Wine doesn’t go with anything better than dessert. The festival will also serve desserts during the three-hour tasting, all while guests take part in a silent auction for trip prizes and wine accessories.

The Haunted Forest

Oct. 2 – Oct. 31, 2015 at the Broadway Grand Prix.

Ever been to a haunted forest? Myrtle Beach welcomes guests and tourists to enter if they dare into this haunted forest for a 25-minute experience for a frightening thrill. The forest is set up on the Broadway Grand Prix right on the shore.

8th Annual Oktoberfest

Oct. 2 – Oct. 3, 2015 at Market Common Myrtle Beach

Couldn’t make it out to Munich, Germany this year? That’s no problem because its biggest festival of the year comes to Myrtle Beach for two days in early October. Bring family and friends and enjoyu Oktoberfest beer and steins, all kinds of food with a variety of vendors. Additionally, the festival includes a pumpkin patch along with family-friendly games.

Autumn Big Band Blast

Whoever said music festivals were only for the summer clearly has never been to a fall music festival. Autumn Big Band Blast brings great music and live entertainment to the Myrtle Beach area. With delicious cooking and a vineyard tour, music isn’t the only thing on the setlist. Relax under the many shaded trees or in the cabanas available.

Spooktacular Pet Costume Contest

This event may not be for humans, but it’s still just as fun. Give you Studio V will be holding a Pet Costume Contest in order for owners to win a Free Christmas Package. The entry fee is $35, and owners can enter more than one pet for an additional $10. Contestants will also receive complimentary prints of their pets in a size of their choice.
