Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Nashville

The biggest celebration in Nashville is the Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight New Year’s Eve. Sponsored by the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, the celebration is centered at the Capitol Park Mall in downtown Nashville. This year the event will feature Keith Urban and Styx along with a plethora of local music talent. There are also numerous exhibitions and vendor booths. The evening cumulates with fireworks, and the Music Note Drop at midnight. Festivities start around four in the afternoon on New Year’s Eve and is free. Nashville has a wide array of bar and restaurants downtown along the river and around Vanderbilt University. The annual celebration will be held on McGavock Street in the southwest district of downtown known as the Gulch. For one price, attendees can enjoy parties at The Rosewall, Whiskey Kitchen, Saint Anejo and Virago. The Rosewall will be the primary party space, featuring a light show. Admission to all four parties is $85 dollars with VIP passes giving access to private bars for $150. The Acme bar on lower Broadway is celebrating the New Year’s starting at six in the evening and going to two in the morning. The first floor will feature house DJs as well as performances by The Gripsweeats and Backup Planet. The second floor feature a special dance party. General admission is $40 at the door. The Sutler in Melrose is hosting an ALL-INCLUSIVE Jingle Boot Rock New Year’s Eve party from 8:00pm to 2:00am. All tickets include an open buffet and open bar. There will be two levels of partying and you can choose to purchase seats in the saloon or the cellar.
